Diving is a marvelous experience. It can be even more thrilling by acquiring a more thorough knowledge of the diving techniques, of your surroundings when being under water, by being able to dive deeper and explore the underwater world in other regions of the world.
All this is possible by following the diving courses and becoming a more experienced and autonomous diver. The courses offered are suited to the different levels of the divers. And no stress! The pace at which the courses are delivered depend on the level and capacity of each aspiring certified diver. No pressure and no rush. All the necessary explanations are given for the divers to enjoy learning more and succeed. The instructor is permanently present to offer the most personalized rate of apprenticeship for each diver.
Every precaution has been taken to ensure to the maximum the security of the divers. The recompression chamber is situated at 30 minutes drive from the diving centre. A 10L oxygen bottle is permanently kept on the boat and two bottles of a capacity of 50L are stored at the diving centre. The boat is equipped with 2 GPS, one HFV and a cellular phone. The boat can thus be easily situated and those on land can easily be contacted in any emergency cases.
These two artificial shipwrecks, formerly water transporters, rest on the white sand not far from the reef. A lot of fish – fish-surgeons, Kokkalia, flying scorpions, and dolphins – encircle the two barges. Corals, rock-fishes, scorpions-fishes can be seen on the deck surface and some care should be taken for their protection and for the protection of the diver. Rubber tires dispersed around the wreck protect different species of morays. This site, although small in area is particularly rich in marine life, which makes it enjoyable for divers of any level.
Very close to the Coral Garden, the Aquarium is also rich in sea life. Divers will come across Clown Fish, Parrot fish, leaf-fish as well as mollusks and the occasional octopus. Trapezoid corals are particularly in abundance. The reef lies in a tongue shape on the white sand creating beautiful bright contrasts. This location, full of color from the corals is accessible to all the levels of divers.
Located to the south of Pointe aux Canonniers, this is a seascape which takes one’s breath away. You may be lucky enough to see the passing of large oceanic fishes including Kokkalia, eagles rays, and tuna. Attached to the rocks, large coral trees (black corals) form an underwater forest. This place is oxygenised by weak streams and may be visited by level 2 divers (CMAS) and advanced (PADI).
The site is located in depths of 20 to 30 meters and is formed by very big rocks on which black corals, windflowers and very beautiful gorgonians are growing. Among the rocks is a very large and very old anchor. The structure of the reef, which has a top of 20 meters, allows the divers to discover a rich marine environment. This location is accessible to 1 level divers (CMAS) or open Water Diver (PADI), who have some experience.
Close to the Lost Anchor the dive is amongst several large rock formations. Exploration of these rocks will reveal morays of java, mollusks, rock-fishes and impressive gorgonians. This dive is accessible to all levels
